"Before this wonderful program, I was afraid to get up from my chair.  Now I can stand up and walk to the kitchen with no problem!"

Falls have been identified as the most common cause of accidental injury to people over age 65.  In the year 2000 people over age 65 accounted for 43% of the hospitalizations and deaths due to unintentional injuries.  LIFE ElderCare's multifaceted approach to falls prevention includes:

bullet

in-home exercises for frail, homebound seniors

bullet

in-home falls risk assessment and recommendations

bullet

minor home modifications, as necessary

bullet

medication management

All of these services are designed to enhance the quality of life and support healthy aging and independence.  This approach to falls prevention helps increase mobility and stamina, thereby helping reduce premature institutionalization.
