Make a difference in the lives of frail seniors and non-seniors with disabilities by volunteering 2-3 hours a week accompanying/assisting them to appointments around the Tri-City Area either riding together with local Paratransit or driving (in own vehicle) ambulatory senior in need of door through door assistance. All volunteers receive an orientation and background check.

LIFE ElderCare's 200 volunteers are the lifeline of the program.  Volunteers must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a friendly smile.  Meals are delivered between the hours of 10:30 am- 12:30 pm, Monday- Friday.  Volunteers receive training and assist a current volunteer until they feel ready to deliver on their own.  All volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver and undergo a background check.

We currently have over 140 volunteers matched with isolated seniors.  Volunteer provide weekly visits to their senior friend.  Volunteers visit their senior for at least two hours each week.  All volunteers receive training and undergo a background check.  Volunteers attend quarterly training sessions.
